TacitLogic is developing an enterprise-class software
platform that enables businesses to build and maintain
Web-based Advisors. The application will feature a simple
graphical interface to empower non-technical users to
author and update the Advisors. The prototype application
is being written in ColdFusion and Java and uses XML to
store both data and business logic. The platform will
feature a robust three-tier architecture and modular design
that will allow for smooth scalability.
TacitLogic leverages XML to connect with and talk to
other applications and databases, integrating with existing
business systems and innovative new products alike. Essentially,
the TacitLogic system operates as a central hub for managing
the process of delivering advice and information to clients.
As needed, the application farms out tasks to other specialized
applications, like decision tree tools, workflow and escalation
software and document assembly software, then stores the
results in the TacitLogic database.
